Memorial Day is approaching on Monday, May 30, 2011 and the weekend is set to begin with many traveling on the road. So it's time to start this thread.
Standby to standby as this is a time to remember our fallen comrades and deceased loved ones. Time for flowers and a few hand salutes.
Have a good one. Lest we forget. (as it says on Chuck's brand new shiny silver watch)
For those of us couch bound and not traveling, TCM and AMC is running nonstop war movies from Friday evening to Monday night. Most of the old favorites will be shown. TCM starts with five submarine movies in row tonight.

I expect any day now to spot some old Jewish guy building a boat a large boat in his back yard. Best of wishes, LS

Britt: What it says on Chuck's brand new shiny silver watch is and I quote - You better not forget that 30 May is my birthday Buster - signed Old Ironpants.
Used to go over to Arlington each Memorial Day and walk for a hour or so. Makes you appreciate what you have and who paid for it.

On Memorial Day let us never forget
THEY GAVE UP THEIR TOMORROWS SO WE COULD HAVE OUR TODAYS
They were surely the best of us all. May they all rest in peace in Gods hands
With deep respect Dan
