I just acquired a microfilm reader and printer. 3M 500 model with fully powered film rollers and older dry silver paper on a roll printer. A school cast off for $25.
Anyone have any of the 7th cav microfilm rolls available for loan or direct me to where I can get them through interlibrary loan to the county hysterical society and museum.
Guess I'd start with the early Kansas years from 66 to 71. An NPS fort historian advised me that the best item to look for for detail of daily life and other issues is to look at the post surgeons returns. The surgeons apparently document a lot of little stuff and particularly injuries. Not sure if the 7th had a post surgeon but I'd probably want the early years of Riley, Harker, Hays, Wallace, & maybe Zarah.
