White Bull's (Minneconjou) list of Indian casualties at Little Big Horn, as recorded by Stanley Vestal in his book Sitting Bull, with my annotations in brackets:
Early that morning away from the camp young Deeds [Hunkpapa] was shot. In the fight with Reno in the valley two Minneconjou, Three Bear and Dog-With-Horns, were killed; also two Hunkpapa, Swift Bear and one White Bull; a Two Kettle Sioux named Chased-by-Owls; an Oglala named White Eagle; Elk-Stands-on-Top (Standing Elk), a Sans Arc Sioux, and a Cheyenne, name unknown [note: Likely Roman Nose]. In the fight with Custer's immediate command: Of the Sans Arc Sioux, Long Dog, Elk Bear, Cloud Man, Kill-Him; of the Hunkpapa Sioux, Guts, Red Face, Hawk Man; of the Oglala Sioux, Many Lice, Bad-Light-Hair, Young Skunk; of the Cheyennes, Left Hand [aka. Noisy Walking] (son of Chief Ice), Owns-Red-Horse [aka. Cut Belly], Flying By [aka. Limber Bones], Black Cloud [aka. Closed Fist], Swift Cloud [aka. Little Whirlwind], and Bearded Man (Mustache) [aka. Lame White Man]. Two men were killed in the fight with Reno on the bluffs that afternoon: Dog's-Backbone (Minneconjou) and Long Road, a Sans Arc. Also the Sioux Young Bear, Black Fox, and Bear-With-Horn were killed (tribes not given). Thirty in all.
