My name is Jared Frederick. I'm a junior at Penn State University and will be joining some of on at your conference this week in Hagerstown. I recently depicted Custer at Hunterstown (right near Gettysburg where he made his first charge). A new monument was dedicated to him there on July 2. Thought you'd like to see these related articles. Hope to see some of you there!
I would be delighted to meet you there. I am old enough to be your grandfather and the hair-tide went out a long, long time ago. It seems, however, we share a passion. I will be there Thursday night and on Saturday, lunch and dinner.
By the way, your painting looks beautiful.
Very best wishes, Fred.

I'm so pleased to see that monument. My great grandfather was in that battle -- 1st Michigan. Thank for posting the information and your artwork!
They also were introduced to a group of Wolverines — as many Michiganders call themselves — who shared an interest in the war, specifically as it related to their favorite son, George Armstrong Custer.
Is there a way to contact these folks? I'd be very interested in their historical efforts.

I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to meet you all at the Hagerstown conference last week. I met many new people, learned lots of new things, and look forward to becoming a more active member in the future.

It has been a long time since I've been on this board. Wanted to wish everybody a happy new year!
The past year has been a busy one for me. I served my student internship at Gettysburg NMP and it looks as if I may get to return as a ranger this coming summer.
Anyway, I wanted to let the LBHA members in on a special deal: I have only a few of my giclee canvas prints left from the edition of 50. "I'll Lead You This Time" depicts Custer at Hunterstown on July 2. As a special offer, I will give any interested LBHA member 20% off the retail price. (They would be $100 rather than the usual $125). The giclee print is mounted and stretched canvas and measures 16x20. All prints come signed and numbered by me with a certificate of authenticity. If you are interested in the offer, just send me an email via my website at www.historymatters.biz.
