I was a friend of Gord Harper, in fact he was the first friend I made I immigrated to Canada. Over the years I worked for Gord, I worked with Gord, and Gord even worked for me, all in the book business.
I was a member of his wedding party, and he on occasional counseled me when my romances did not work out. We lost track of each other when he moved from Ontario to British Columbia, there was love and a lady involved. By the time he tried to re-contact me I had moved, and we only got back in contact within the last two years.
Although we were many miles apart, neither of us were "old" (I am 63) and I always assumed we would get together to exchange a little more information than we did in our emails. Obviously this is not going to happen.
I would appreciate any pointers to material that Gord has posted, so I might fill a hole that obviously will find no other sustenance.
Also, Gord's daughter has indicated she is at a loss on how to preserve and dispose of her father's library, research, and work in progress. If you have suggestions of suitable book dealers with both background to deal with such material and the integrity to treat someone fairly it would be most appreciated. (I used to be in the used/antiquarian book trade, but this is way out of my field of knowledge. Oh, I have not seen the material, so I have no details to offer.)

Yours in loss,
Al, sent you an email with suggestions, etc.
