It's getting harder to find good IWP uniform resources anymore---there's just not the momentum behind it like the CW crowd has.
Better get one of these Andrews while they're still being made.
Case in point: the M72 dress helmet...Burgess and Co. (now defunct) stopped making the helmet because the shells were custom made and no one thought they were worth the trouble for the tiny group of IWP cavalry buffs. Now the old repro helmets originally made by Burgess are worth serious bucks...IF you can find one, and that owner is willing to sell... Eventually, the 1880s helmet body was used to make M1872's --but-- it's still the wrong look. Now you can hardly find them, as well.
(BTW: if anyone out there knows where to get a decent M72 Cav. dress helmet -even without the brass and cords- let me know!)
Hi Nate--- I have a Burgess repro that is marked on the sweatband "F. Burgess & Co." --You can call Billy regarding his version...I just got a "72 kepi from him that has an original style paper maker's mark inside. Billy makes the most accurate andrews hat that I know of.
