Moderator, my apologies for putting you figuratively between a rock and a hard spot; but, we need to reexamine your decision in my opinion.
First, while everyone here is interested in the Indian Wars and Custer in particular, only "that person" constantly twists "evidence" to meet his agenda. And we are not even talking about the insults levied upon people who merely wish source documentation to support his theories.
Second, I have said several things about CW. I think the predominate word I used is "contemptible." My opinion of him has not changed and, barring a miracle, will not deviate.
My whole-hearted apologies if my stance puts you in an uncomfortable position. While I have tried to avoid personal insults, the facts are clear to anyone reading the thread that the person who I am arguing with is, forgive me, a sandwich short of a picnic.

Thank you very much for having closed the thread, Moderator ! I was hoping you would do it at once. Close also this one too, it is useless and cisdyd's vanity doesn't interest anyone. Thanks!

You do not speak for the entire board--or do you?

Thank you very much for having closed the thread, Moderator ! I was hoping you would do it at once. Close also this one too, it is useless and cisdyd's vanity doesn't interest anyone. Thanks! My, my, my. What a petulant little thing you are. It having been proven that you have no concern about Clara Binn beyond using her fate to sanctify Autie seems to have you concerned enough to advocate closing a thread which, to put it mildly, succeeded in portraying you as the *... that you are. Mod, my apologies but I despise extremists who doctor information. CISDYD * inappropriate comment removed by mod. CISDYD, the forum exists for people to express their views about the subject of Custeriana and the Indian Wars. You should not concern yourself so much with the views of one person. Its usually best to ignore someone if their posts become bothersome to you. Engaging in personal attacks will accomplish nothing at all that is productive.

Will you guys please cut it out? You are all of you turning every thread from a discussion of LBH and the Indian Wars to a name-calling free-for-all. You are totally stifling all intelligent discussion by doing this.
Thanks Melani, for your words of moderation here. I think your last sentence above is closer to the truth than you realize and, sad to say, may well be the motive of some here.

I would like to make it perfectly clear that I am not especially concerned with David calling me names. I've been called worse names by better name-callers. I am concerned with trying to have an intelligent discussion on the topic at hand. I would suggest that we ALL ignore any rude, inflammatory statements made by ANYBODY as if they had not been said. It takes more than one person to have a fight.
Again, words of wisdom, Melani. And I congratulate your ability to rise above the fray and take the higher road. I will do my best to remove insulting and inflammatory statements as they appear, but I think it behooves us to consider that we have certain posters who spend little time here posting about the Indian Wars or other historical issues. It seems that their entire purpose here is to do little other than bait and provoke others into starting a flame war for their own amusement. Here's a quote from a recent post illustrating what I mean: "Actually I enjoy bothering you . . . you're an easy target." The best way of dealing with someone you find distasteful is to simply ignore them. And I agree with you Melani, it takes two to tango.

It will become the LBHA's gamble of the century, like the soldiers in "Saving Private Ryan" who bet what is Tom Hank's work. ;D ;D

I have already decided with some members of the Board by private message that we will ignore obvious troll(s). I'm sure the "mod" has seen it and I stand by it. You continue to open yourself up with inflammatory comments. Now, according to your post you are instigating a conspiracy against anyone you consider a troll. Just because someone has a different opinion your revert to this and other types of tactics. That's not going to help matters here. Can't you stand up for yourself or do you need "others" to help you?
